What is a PDF Collection?
A PDF Collection, also known as a PDF Portfolio or PDF Package, is a specialized PDF file that contains multiple embedded files, such as PDFs, Word documents, images, or spreadsheets, organized into folders within a single container.
Introduced in PDF 1.7, it includes a customizable interface for browsing, sorting, and opening embedded files, along with optional metadata for organization. Similar to a ZIP archive but fully PDF-based, Collections are useful for archiving, project documentation, or presenting related files with a unified, professional layout.
